Erin MorrisAdministrator Erin Morris

Erin Morris is the Administrator of USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS). In this capacity, Erin is responsible for the administration and oversight of the broad range of agricultural regulatory, marketing, and inspection programs conducted by AMS. Before being selected for this position, Erin served in a variety of other leadership positions within AMS since joining the Agency approximately 26 years ago. Prior to joining USDA, Erin worked in the foodservice distribution industry and was employed by one of the largest foodservice distributors in the country. 

Erin is a Cum Laude graduate of the College of Agriculture at Texas A&M University. She resides in Fairfax Station, VA, with her husband and two children. In her spare time, Erin enjoys horseback riding, reading, and traveling.

Dr. Melissa R. Bailey is an Associate Administrator of USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS). In this position, Melissa supports the agency’s daily operations and program delivery, including the implementation of key commodity grading programs, market information services, and financial and technical assistance related activities. She also provides expertise and policy direction for USDA’s supply chain efforts and for agency-wide innovation initiatives. Melissa has also served in leadership positions in four different AMS programs since joining government service in 2010. Prior to joining USDA, Melissa worked in food and agriculture business consulting and academia. 

Melissa holds a B.S. in Biology from Northeastern University, a M.S. in Animals and Public Policy from Tufts University’s School of Veterinary Medicine, and a Ph.D. in Nutrition (focus on Agricultural Policy) from Tufts University’s School of Nutrition Science and Policy.
